Your testimony is your personal story of trusting Jesus — how He met you, changed you, and continues to lead you.
It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being real.
Whether your story is dramatic or quiet, every testimony matters. You never know who needs to hear your story to believe their story isn’t over.
The 3 Parts of a Testimony
1. Before Jesus
What was life like before you truly trusted Him? What were you carrying, struggling with, or searching for?
Example prompts:
“I felt lost, empty, or unsure of who I was…”
“I relied on my own strength, but it wasn’t enough…”
“I was chasing peace in all the wrong places…”
2. The Turning Point
What happened that led you to trust Jesus? Was it a moment, a season, a verse, or a person God used?
Example prompts:
“I reached a point where I knew something had to change…”
“I cried out to God, and He met me in my lowest moment…”
“Proverbs 3:5–6 opened my heart to trust again…”
3. After Trusting Jesus
How has your life changed since placing your trust in Him? What is different now — even if everything isn’t perfect?
Example prompts
“I now live with peace and purpose I didn’t have before…”
“I still face challenges, but I’m no longer walking alone…”
“Now, I walk by faith and not by sight…”
Helpful Tips
Be real, not religious. Honesty connects more than perfection.
Keep it simple. Aim for 1–2 minutes if sharing aloud or on video.
Scripture is welcome, not required. If it fits your story, you may include:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
